That's how I passed my time that was given to me on this Earth (2025)

Glazed ceramic, broken and repaired, Grass, 4 × 48 in

Ceramic police batons, broken and repaired. Glossy seams hold the fracture.

An ongoing series of ceramic police batons, broken and reassembled with visible repair seams. The glossy finish reveals the fractures while remaining seductive. Authority's instrument rendered fragile, then mended badly on purpose.

The work uses ceramic's inherent precarity to question what restoration actually means. When is repair cosmetic? When does it transform? The seams stay visible.

Each iteration is unrepeatable. Each fracture is its own composition. Each repair holds its own configuration of seams.
