A car boot disarmed, polished to mirror, severed from its function.
One evening in fall 2024, I came across an elderly woman in distress beside her car. The vehicle had been immobilized with a boot. After speaking with her, I returned with tools, removed the device, and she drove away.
The boot came back to the studio. I disassembled it, refinished it, chrome-plated each part. The object now reflects rather than restrains.
